Bhutan - Kewa Phagsha

This is a dish of spicy pork and potatoes. The cooking method isn't one I'm used to but I'm looking forward to tasting it.

Ingredients:

* 350 g of pork
* 2 potatoes peeled.
* 3 green chillies.
* 1/2 onion.
* 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
* 3 cloves of garlic
* 1 piece of ginger
* 1/2 tbls oil

Cut the pork into strips and place in your pan.

Add 300-400ml of boiling water and boil the pork for 10 minutes.

Cut the potatoes into wedges length ways and add to the pan. Boil for another 10 minutes.

Add all the other ingredients and simmer for another 10 minutes. Prepare some rice in a dish.

Spoon over the rice and eat.

I was really curious how this would taste with the pork being boiled instead of sauteed. It was really delicious. The pork was really soft and tender. The sauce to this dish was more like a broth which went well with the rice, it was also really tasty. It was nicely spicy and left a tingle in my mouth but didn't burn. Very nice, I'd make it again.
