Chapli Kebabs are originally from Pakistan and are fried in huge pans of oil on the streets of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Often served with rice or salad but on the street more often in a naan or bread bun. We've eaten them before as part of a mixed starter in an Indian restaurant but it'll be nice to try them homemade.
Ingredients:
Using your hand, mix everything until it's well combined.
Heat a couple of inches of oil in a frying pan and cook in batches until they are all dark brown. I always struggle with keeping fried patties flat, they always end up thicker!
Serve with salad, rice, chutney or raita in bread or not, it's up to you. We had ours in bread buns with salad and raita.
